RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • Nine years using scanning laser vibrometer (SLV) to assess vibration characteristics of ultrasonic instruments.
  • Research formed basis of 6 successful EPSRC grant applications (> £600,000).
  • Successfully adapted SLV to enable sonic instruments / powered toothbrushes to be evaluated.
  • Received specialist training in 3D laser vibrometry (Polytec GmbH, Waldbronn, Germany).
